Our rubs, spices, sauces, gourmet humus and dehydrated fruits and vegetables are all our own recipes. They are made with no artificial ingredients, flavors or MSG.  

Gourmet humus and dehydrated foods are only available with special order. Please contact us for availability. 

Experience is the one of the most important aspects to being good at anything that you do. When I (Pitmaster) joined the fire service in 1980 in Florida, I was given the task as the cook for the station. It turned out that the meals for the crew were so good, that being the cook was no longer the rookie's assignment. Cooking 3 meals a day for up to12 firefighters (it was always 1.5 serving for each firefighter) was sometimes challenging, and 40 years later, I was able to perfect many recipes, in the kitchen, grill and smoker. I took more interest in southern BBQ, and started collecting smokers and grills. Then my wife Crystal started with making rubs, sauces and many other products being sold at local farmer's markets, and even at some of the local butchers and restaurants in the Orlando area. After visiting NW Montana back in 2011, we fell in love with the area and decided to buy some property and that we would retire in 2020 to Trout Creek. The one item that we found was missing,  was it needed some GOOD southern BBQ. So, I retired from the fire service and brought our smokers, rubs and recipes with us. The name of the business is "smoke showin bbq", a play on words for both the fire service and smoking food. In the fire service, this phase is used when  the first arriving engine gives a report over the radio, to all others responding that there is smoke showing. In the smoking business, you know the food is getting that good smoke flavor, when you see smoke coming out of the stack. We purposely left the letter "g" off in showing off, to give it that southern slang. Now we smoke so much more than just meats, vegetables, fruits, etc....
